Get Started:

A major study found that Christians who read (or listen to) the Bible at least four days a week demonstrate more spiritual maturity than those who do so less often. This is so significant the study calls this statistic THE POWER OF FOUR. We want everyone at OBC to develop this habit. So we invite you to join us as we read the book of Proverbs twice in 62 Days!

The plan starts on July 1, 2025. We will read together daily and complete reading the book of Proverbs twice by August 31, 2025. We encourage you to read every day, but aim for at least 4 days a week. Missed a day? You can choose to catch up or simply skip to today’s reading. The goal is not perfection, it’s to develop a habit.

Power of 4 Process:

1. Prepare: Begin with prayer. Ask God to lead you as you read today’s passages.

2. Read: Read today’s passages, then identify one section that stands out. As you read, be open to how God leads you. Is there a word, phrase or concept that stands out to you?

3. Contemplate: Offer your reflections back to God in prayer. Give thanks to Him and ask for guidance:“God, how should I respond to what I’ve read today?”

4. Respond: What is God leading you to do with what you have read? Ask for God’s help to apply this to your life.
